Dr. Lehmann is sought by patients for his success in caring for their vision. Dr. Lehmann is recognized by peers for his contributions to the field, particularly for his excellence in advancing the newest technology for the treatment and management of eye conditions using state-of-the-art surgical techniques.

Dr. Lehmann's experience includes pioneering success in breakthrough eye treatment and care. He is the first surgeon to offer small incision cataract surgery, No Stitch, No Patch, No Shot cataract removal, and refractive surgery in the Nacogdoches/Lufkin area, and the first surgeon to implant the ReSTOR® intraocular lens in the United States. 

Dr. Lehmann is often called upon to serve as an ophthalmic course director, course instructor, and guest lecturer and demonstrator at national and international meetings.  He  is a member of numerous prestigious professional associations and societies.  Dr. Lehmann is the author of a number of published works appearing in professional journals and periodicals, and contributed a chapter to a physicians’ textbook on small incision cataract surgery. He established Lehmann Eye Center in 1977. Dr. Lehmann and his wife, Kathy, call Nacogdoches home.
