Lehmann Eye Center joins millions of Americans in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease by participating in the 2013 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in Nacogdoches. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions affected by Alzheimer’s disease — the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
In Nacogdoches, 249 participants raised $27,855. One in three families are impacted by Alzheimer’s, and this walk is our area's largest local event that raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Lehmann Eye Center is proud to share in the walk tradition that dates back to 1989 with nine Alzheimer’s Association chapters raising $149,000 from 1,249 Memory Walk®. In 2013 more than 42,000 teams participated in nearly 650 walks across the country, raising more than $55 million.
